8g Plugs & Tunnels (3mm)

8g Plugs & Tunnels (3mm) - Shop for a variety of different types of 8g plugs and tunnels made from materials like stone, horn, wood, stainless steel, acrylic, silicone, and more. Whichever options you choose, we can sterilize your new 8g plugs or 8g tunnels for you before shipping them to you if you add one of our "Sterilize My Jewelry" options to cart for each plug or tunnel you purchase. Clean your 8 gauge plugs and 8 gauge tunnels at home periodically using the maintenance tips below.

Maintaining Your 8g Plugs & Tunnels: You can wash glass, silicone and acrylic plugs and tunnels with warm, soapy water whenever needed. Just use a damp cloth to wipe down organic 8g plugs and tunnels, since too much water will cause some natural materials to swell. Buff metal 8g plugs and 8g tunnels with a polishing cloth as needed. Periodically, you should massage a small amount of jojoba oil into horn and wood plugs and tunnels to maintain moisture and prevent cracking. Alternatively, you can use tea tree oil on wood 8g plugs and tunnels.

Tip: Twice a day for a week leading up to a stretch, you should massage emu oil into the skin around your piercings to enhance its natural elasticity. Doing so will minimize the chances of the stretching process causing microscopic tears in your skin that could make you susceptible to infection. For an even gentler stretch, wrap your 8g plugs or tunnels with a single layer of stretching tape every week or so until you gradually increase to 6g. For more tips that can be applied to stretching any piercing, read our Ear Stretching FAQs.
